Private Family Office
Double Trust is a private family office. We consolidate the personal and business financial accounts of the families we serve into a single, accurate ledger — and use it to automate their tax preparation, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
How we use account data Privacy & SecurityFamilies and their operating businesses accumulate accounts across many institutions — checking, credit, brokerage, lending, and payroll. Double Trust acts as the central office that brings those threads together, so nothing is missed at tax time and every obligation is met on schedule.
One reconciled view of every household and business account, refreshed automatically.
Statements and transactions categorized year-round so filings and audits are routine.
Access is read-only and least-privilege. We hold information to serve, never to trade on it.
Our software, 2T Bank Clerk, is the internal tool the office uses on behalf of the families it serves. With the account holder's explicit consent, it securely retrieves statements and transaction history, then organizes them for tax and compliance work.
The account holder authorizes a read-only connection to their own bank, brokerage, and card accounts through a trusted, regulated aggregation provider.
The application pulls personal and business statements and transaction records — the same documents the family would otherwise gather by hand.
Transactions are classified and reconciled into a consolidated ledger that stays current throughout the year.
The reconciled data feeds tax preparation, periodic reporting to the family, and the records needed to satisfy compliance and audit requests.
We request only the information required to keep the family's books accurate and their obligations met. Access is read-only; we never initiate payments or move funds.
| Information | Why we need it |
|---|---|
| Account & balances | Identify each account and reconcile period-end balances for accurate consolidated reporting. |
| Transactions | Categorize income and expenses for tax preparation, deductions, and year-round bookkeeping. |
| Statements | Archive the source documents that substantiate filings and satisfy audit and compliance requests. |
| Account owner & type | Separate personal from business activity and attribute each account to the correct entity. |
We do not request the ability to move money, change account settings, or share data with third parties for marketing. Access can be revoked by the account holder at any time.
Protecting the families we serve is the whole point of a family office. Our handling of financial data is built on a few firm commitments.
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Credentials are never seen or stored by us.
Connections are strictly read-only. The application cannot move funds or alter accounts.
We request only the data scopes listed above — nothing beyond what the work requires.
Bank connections are made through a regulated data-aggregation provider, not direct credential storage.
Account holders grant access explicitly and can withdraw it at any time.
Financial data is used solely to serve the family. It is never sold or shared for marketing.
